Library Orientation

The library organizes library orientation for freshmen students during the opening of the first semester. These sessions are coordinated with the English faculty to provide basic information about the library services, resources, personnel, as well as basic information searching skills.  

Faculty can request library orientation for their classes. Please remember that we require the presence of the classroom instructor during every orientation. After the faculty submit this request he/she will be contacted within two business days by the scheduling librarian. For questions or any concerns, please contact Ms. Marites F. Please Note: Reservations for library orientation must be made at least 48 hours in advance (not including weekends, breaks or holidays).A confirmation e-mail will be sent within 48 hrs., or the session has not been confirmed.

Scan and Delivery Service

TUA  faculty, staff, and students can request copies of items from most of the Library’s print collection free of charge. Library staff will scan a specific article or book chapter, up to 50 pages, as long as this does not exceed fair use guidelines. Please submit requests for each specific article or book chapter needed on a separate request form. Requests will be delivered electronically to the email address provided within 3 to 4 days. Use this form to request scans of physical items available on the shelf in Trinity University of Asia Library

Course Reserve

WHAT ARE COURSE RESERVES?

Course reserves are materials chosen by faculty for a specific academic course. Reserve items may include books, personal copies, articles and other course-related materials. Journal articles, book chapters and other course reserve materials that can be digitized are placed on e-reserve. Students can access e-reserve materials via links in the course reserve list through TUA Learning Cloud.

INFORMATION TO FACULTY

SUBMIT YOU COURSE RESERVE REQUEST:

Course reserve requests should be submitted by the faculty. Please allow a minimum of three (3) days to process the request. Submit the request prior to the semester's start if you need the reserve materials to be ready at the beginning of the semester.

INFORMATION TO STUDENTS


  • Students can access Electronic Reserves (e-reserves) through TUA Learning Cloud.

  • Copies or scan created from journal issues or books are can be accessed via a link in the Course Reserves List and are not allowed to be downloaded.

Bibliographic Listing

The Library provide list of bibliographies of library book acquisition (copyrighted within the last five years).  The bibliographic listing is according to curriculum or subject.

The Library accept request for binding of documents, journals and repair of books for the whole university with a minimal fee.

Computer and Internet Access

The Library is equipped with computer units with internet access and we also assist with the use CD-ROM, VCD, DVD, VHS and other multimedia materials on a first come first serve basis.

Indexing

The library does a selective index to foreign and local periodicals specifically newspapers and other important articles that have curricular value.
